CMA invites you to join business leaders from Edmonton, Calgary and across Canada for another spectacular event centered on golf, philanthropy and fun.

 

CMA has raised more than $1 million for a variety of charities and we are proud to be working exclusively with Little Warriors at the 2014 Golf With Champions tournament.  Our 24th annual golf tournament, dinner and charity auction will take place on June 20th at the world famous Fairmont Banff Springs hotel and golf resort. Players will have a chance to win live auction items and fantastic prizes, including a lease on a Bentley or Aston Martin.

 

Little Warriors delivers a Prevention Program to adults which focuses on the prevention of child sexual abuse. Every year we train 3000 adults and our goal is to significantly increase this reach. For every adult trained in this program, they have the potential to help protect 10 children. Which amounts to 5000 children from becoming victims across Canada. We need help to develop the first of its kind Canadian Prevention Program that is inclusive of Canadian content. Supporting this Golf Tournament achieves just that, it reduces the cost of training adults, provides funds to retrain volunteer facilitators, and ultimately improve the lives of thousands of children.  In addition to prevention programs, Little Warriors’ vision is to open the first-of-its-kind long-term treatment centre
in North America for child victims of sexual abuse: the Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch by Ray LaBonte and Family. Little Warriors is excited to announce that it has purchased the centre that will become the Be Brave Ranch.

Now, its mission is to renovate the Be Brave Ranch, and secure long-term operating funding.  The Be Brave Ranch’s intensive program has been designed around evidence-based research, and was developed and evaluated by Dr. Peter Silverstone of the University of Alberta. Our ground breaking program will be delivered by full-time professionals, will include in-patient and out-patient therapy, and will draw upon a combination of therapy techniques and treatments including equine therapy, play therapy and individual and group counselling.  In partnership with Little Warriors, you can help ensure the Be Brave Ranch has the necessary resources to provide its vital services by sponsoring our Golf With Champions tournament. Every single penny raised will help change the life of a child who – because of the generosity of people like you – will have a place to heal, to be loved and to recover.
